Project Overview

The Centre for Statistical Analysis and Research (CESAR) is an African training and consultancy organisation headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa.

CESAR provides practical training in research, data analysis, data visualisation, monitoring and evaluation, and report writing. It also supports organisations through applied research, evaluation, statistical analysis and evidence-driven consulting services.

The organisation needed a website that could establish its expertise, present its growing catalogue of courses, support individual and organisational enquiries, and connect visitor activity with its customer relationship management system.

The Challenge

CESAR serves two closely connected but distinct audiences.

The first includes researchers, analysts, development professionals and other individuals seeking practical skills in research and data. The second includes government institutions, universities, development organisations, NGOs and businesses looking for customised training or consultancy support.

The website needed to:

  • Position training as a core CESAR service
  • Organise a growing catalogue of technical courses
  • Explain course content, formats and duration
  • Support both in-person and virtual training
  • Promote customised capacity-building programmes
  • Present CESAR’s research and consultancy capabilities
  • Demonstrate its experience across countries and sectors
  • Capture and manage enquiries more efficiently
  • Create clear pathways for registration and follow-up

The challenge was presenting this depth of information without making the website difficult to navigate.

Our Approach

We structured the website around CESAR’s two main service areas: training and consultancy.

Individual course pages provide essential information such as course focus, learning format, duration and the next step for participation.

We also created pathways for organisations seeking customised workshops, staff development programmes, executive training and technical capacity-building.

Beyond the public-facing experience, we connected the website to CESAR’s CRM. This enabled information submitted through relevant website forms to flow into its customer management system, supporting more organised lead capture, tracking and follow-up.

CESAR’s consultancy services, projects, publications, testimonials and institutional experience were organised separately, allowing visitors to explore them without distracting from the training journey.

The Outcome

CESAR now has a comprehensive digital platform that reflects its position as a provider of research, data and monitoring and evaluation training across Africa.

The website enables professionals to explore courses in tools and areas such as Stata, R, Excel, Power BI, research methodology, monitoring and evaluation, and report writing.

It also gives organisations a clear route to discuss customised capacity-building programmes and consultancy projects. Enquiries submitted through the website can be captured within CESAR’s CRM, creating a more connected process for managing prospective participants, clients and follow-up activities.

The platform brings CESAR’s courses, consultancy services, projects, resources and track record together within one connected digital experience. It presents an organisation that has trained more than 2,500 delegates and served participants and clients across 35 countries and four continents.
